Why is the Internet so addicting? Nowadays, everyone from kids to the elderly use the Internet. But I learned my lesson to do my homework first then spend time on the computer. After that day I would refuse to talk to my mom of a while. I did not want to lose the game! I was almost done with the entire game for the first time ever! My mom got extremely mad at me, started yelling at me as loud as she could, turned the computer off, and sent me to my room saying I am not allowed to get on the computer until summer. She asked me if I had studied for my test and I aggressively said no and kept on playing. My mom got home from work, looked at my agenda to see how much homework I had, and saw that I had a major science test the next day. I was doing so good in the game that I played for three hours straight without noticing the time passing by. I remember one day I got home from school and immediately went to the computer and started playing without even changing my uniform. Everyday, right after I would get home from school, I would go to my parent’s room and play that game. There was an online game called Chicken Invaders that I was basically addicted to. (Back then laptops were not as common and popular as they currently are.) So every time I wanted to play a game on the computer or talk to my friends on Yahoo Messenger, I had to go to my parents room. When I was younger, I did not have a computer in my room.
